Fly With
Husband-and-Wife Navy Pilots
-- Loree and Harry Hirschman founded Golden Gate Biplane Adventures to bring
the Golden Age of Aviation to residents of the Peninsula. Between them they
have 18 years in the US Navy as aircraft carrier pilots and have made three
deployments to the Persian Gulf. Loree flew the FA-18 Hornet before
transitioning to the S-3 Viking to join the initial cadre of female pilots
assigned to combat squadrons. She wrote a book about her experiences on the
first west-coast carrier to deploy with women titled, "She's Just Another Navy
Pilot". Harry flew the FA-18 Hornet and earned distinction as the Student of
the Year upon graduating from flight school. He was awarded the Air Medal
for his participation in enforcing United Nations resolutions over Iraq. Harry
and Loree left the Navy to pursue graduate degrees and start a family. You'll
meet Sam when you come out for your flight and number two is on the way. These
dynamic aviation entrepreneurs bring the same high level of safety and
professionalism it takes to land a 30-ton
jet aboard an aircraft carrier in stormy seas at night to your flight. They'll
sweat the details so all you have to do is have a good time.
